Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Apex Heritage uses cookies and similar browser-based storage (localStorage) to make the service work correctly and, with your consent, to improve it.
2. Strictly necessary (no consent required)
These are essential for the service to function. We do not require your consent to set them (UK PECR Regulation 6(4)(b); EU ePrivacy Directive Art 5(3)).
| Name / key | Purpose | Duration | |
|---|---|---|---|
| __apex_session | Firebase session authentication — keeps you signed in. | HTTP-only cookie | 14 days |
| apex_cookie_consent | Records your cookie consent choice so we don’t ask again. | Browser localStorage | Until storage cleared |
3. Analytics and performance (consent required)
We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any such cookies.
4. Managing cookies
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser storage or using your browser’s cookie settings. The session cookie is required for login — blocking it will prevent you from signing in.
